I'm almost sure that Santander are less flexible on accepting overpayments so check your mortgage terms. I don't have a mortgage with them but am sure someone will be along to answer this.

    Hi LittleMissGiggles123,

I have a Santander mortgage and I call 01908 719111, you will need your mortgage account number. You then have to answer a couple of security questions.
Normally I would transfer the funds and then call two days later to let them know if I wanted to reduce the term or reduce the monthly payment.
I'm sure they can explain everything when you call the number.

I remember there being a £500 a month figure being involved but couldn't remember if that was the minimum or maximum required. Wishing you lots of luck.

Just give them a call. They should be able to tell you quite quickly what the restrictions are. I am restricted to pay £499 per month without charges. It can really differ from lender to lender.

    Hi Giggles,

As a Santander customer we have to pay in £500 lumps (or more) and we wrote a cheque out to ourselves and I took it into the branch. They filled out a form and asked me whether I wanted payment or term reductions and sent it off for processing.
