I am already registered as do subby work etc was just wondering as noticed some people seem to be earning loads on ebay so only counts if you are registered as business !

    found this on netmums

The difference is in your own activity. If you are selling your own items then you don't need to register. If you are buying things to sell on then you will need to register as a business seller, and register as self employed with the Inland Revenue. Bear in mind that eBay are required by law to turn over all details of sellers business or not to the Tax office who examone them for people who may be trading.
Unless you are working elsewhere that TAX threshold is quite high- close to £6000, so you would have to sell quite a bit to start paying TAX.

Business sellers don't qualify for free listing days.
  • Afternoon everyone....pleased to hear you are all getting on so well! I've not posted on here for a couple of days as i've had nothing to add but i've been reading what everyone else has been doing. :-)

Alot of my ebay items don't end till the weekend but i've just had a look and i've got a few watchers and bids so will hopefully have some money to add on over the weekend! :-)

Well done everyone....keep up the hard work!

    Hello Everyone and well done,

I need to add £4.50 from selling a few bits to a friend and £16.44 from emptying all the little pots of loose change around the house (mainly did this as DS1 keeps going up the sweetie shop and not eating his dinner!) so £20.94 to add which I will be banking against my loan tomorrow, its feeling really good to see that number decrease a little each week and know its going finish a bit sooner.:D

Thanks Aesop, totally forgot you had money-making tips listed on the first post - doh! Off to have a butchers at the website :T.
Thanks to Asseop I think thats how its spelt for calling me an inspiration lol neve been one of them before.

Hotspur first shift when well, soon got back into it. They are no vacancies for texting at moment so just doing the phone. I just find it funny Im sure I would kill the all vision of what they think if they knew I was here in my pjs and a brew at the time lol. But hey getting some good hold time.

Just accepted my first mystery shopping assignments I never seem to see them in north west so that will be soon more but not including it until it as dropped through once I have done one I will apply with other companies and see about getting more dropping through every little bit helps.

Didnt manage to do any ebaying last night as I was seriously in bad mood with santander for being £4.08 ov they are charging me £135.00 so kind of just killed it for me or the night but im back now and will pay it and then they will notice my accounts are being closed. Business and Personal. I know its my fault but just gets to you for £4.00 Im being charged £135.00 thats on hell of good interest they have just earned.

Nothing upto now to include but will be back lol, got a few bits to do for work today but ill try and get something included.

Good work on your 1st shift, debnmatilda :T, good that you're enjoying it. Think you've got guts to do it, i'd be squirming with embarrassment :D, but it's something i might consider doing when my personal circumstances improve. Ha, ha I used to work from home as a telephone customer service agent. The best part of the job was being able to sit in my jim-jams with messed-up hair :D. Always wondered what customers would think if they could see my unmade bed and pile of dirty laundry while taking their orders and payments :rotfl:.
Sorry to hear about the Santander issues. No other way to describe it than daylight robbery - i'd be fuming!

Great earnings going on peeps :T. Couldn't bare going out today in the horrid weather so have postponed MS shop until tomorrow. Have decided against doing a fast food visit as i don't think my heart and stomach will forgive me if i eat another mouthful. Off to have a health yogurt instead :D.

Have a great weekend peeps
  • Hi Everyone!

I was really hoping to join you all this month for the first time but given that both the laptop and camera have given up the ghost in the last few days it's going to make eBay etc rather difficult :rotfl:

Looks like I'll have to start next month as there's no way I can even make £5 a day without a working laptop at home!

In the meantime though I have a couple of questions, sorry if they've already been asked!

    1) Do the majority of you post cash back totals when they track or when it hits your account? I know you can do either but just wanted to see what most people prefer.

    2) I know that you can get some bingo sites that do (or did) free scratch cards, do these still exist and if so what are the best ones to use?

    Thanks in advance :)

Hi if my pennies were pounds i personally only count cashback when it hits my account as its easier for me that way.
As for bingo scratch cards I think maybe Butlins still do one but I am sure someone else will be along in a minute to tell you if there are more.
Hope you soon get a laptop so you can do the challenge as it is great fun.
