Scrapbooking

I want to make a scrap book celebrating my daughters first year of life.
I'd like to put all the photos we've collected for 12 months in it, but obviously it would be very time consuming to make a page for each one, so I've found some 12" x 12" page protectors which are photo inserts, the cheapest come with some normal page protectors from QVC

I however don't know enough about scrapbooking, so am after a little help please?
Will these only be compatible with American Crafts scrapbooks?
If so, does anyone have any top websites for purchasing an American Crafts scrapbook please, as they are quite expensive and never in stock!!
I'd really appreciate any help. Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place!!

ive just done my first scrapbook and i used 12x12 but i used page protecters that you just put 12x12 paper in
i just used white 12x12 paper inside and then put 3 or photos on each page and this way you can put embellishments and flowers and little comments on each page this way your daughter will have your written memories as well as the photos.
also try ukscrappers website they are a helpful bunch
sorry dont know about the compatibility as i just bought a plain scrapbook and decorated the outside and it had all the inserts inside it and was only about £10 and i just bought some extra inserts from the same website for about a fiver
hope this helps0 -
Cool, thank you.
I will make lovely pages for most pictures, its just the excess photos that I still want to show off but don't want to make a page for that I need a way of displaying.0 -
I have those photo sleeves for 12x12 pages. I've followed the "Document 2010" on ukscrappers which uses them. Here are some photos so you can see what I mean:

That might give you some ideas of how to use them if you had more time to scrap them up rather than just filling with photos.
There are loads of ideas on the forums on ukscrappers...I'll see if I can find a link.

In there are loads of photos of other peoples scrapbooks from the project that might help inspire you.
They should be compatible with most 12x12 scrapbooks. They have different holes to fit different types of binders.
Do you have a TKMaxx near you? They sell scrapbooks at the moment for £7.99 which is pretty reasonable. And they have quite a few kits which might help you get started if you don't have much stuff.0 -
I've scrapbooked seriously for about 7 or 8 years now - it's addictive! The best site for American Crafts is http://www.sarahscardsltd.com/
For inspiration/chat try UKScrappers or Two peas in a Bucket. There are also loads of blogs and website with sketches and ideas. Have fun!0 -
