Im looking to buy a new lapton in the new year and was just wondering if anyone can advice on the best makes to look our for or any problems they have had with a laptop ...

its either a new latop or a new pc so could do with some good pros and cons and also maybe some good deals for laptops if anyone knows of any

Well here's my opinion. If deskspace and room is an issue then get a laptop but be wary that its dead money in that it wont be future proof like a desktop tower might be (depending on which company u buy the tower from). It seems at present you can get some pretty good deals with the new Core 2 Duo Intel chips on either lappy or desktop, I suppose the second thing you should ask yourself after the space issue would be what are you gonna use it for? If its just general stuff and not gaming then you should be ok choosing whatever really, it depends on your budget.
