First time mortgage for temp contract

Hi
We were wondering what the chances of getting a mortgage using our joint salaries were.
I earn 20k and am on a permanent full time contract
My girlfriend is about to start work for a charity and they only give out a rolling one year contract due to funding levels - although the assumption is that this will be renewed, provided the charity continues to receive funding. She will be earning 22k.
We have a 20k deposit and are both debt free (student loans apart)
Thanks for the advice
