I bought one for myself and several as presents last year and it is a fantastic book for anyone that is interested in and buys beauty products. You can't rely on what women's magazines tell you are good products as they get freebies to promote these items.

It is written by two journalists and hundreds of women have tested the featured products. You would be surprised to find that a lot of the "budget" priced products score higher than the luxury end of the market. Sometimes we are "conned" into thinking the higher a price we pay for a product the better it must be and this isn't always the case, as this book proves.

I have tried many of the products recommended by the testers in this book and they are fabulous and some are budget brands. For instance the best "miracle cream" is actually a Boots own brand - testers were only allowed to use it on one side of their face for a few weeks and they were begging to use it on the other side as they noticed a visible difference! I have bought this moisturiser on the strength of this book and it really is fantastic.

Also has a section on best natural beauty products.
It really is a lovely book and gives advice on all aspects of beauty ie. hair, makeup, nails etc.

You can buy it at Amazon for just over £10 - a 34% saving on shop prices and it allows you to flick through it on screen also.

Sounds like a good book, however I'm not sure I'd be to chuffed if a boyfriend bought it for me - might think he was saying I was pug ugly and needed a book to help LOL.
