    If there are companies not contacting you about alleged debts, then I would leave well enough alone, or it could set the statute barred date back.

    have you been paying c*quest already? If so , you might as well carry on paying - are c*quest 'agents' or did they buy the debt? If they bought the debt, they paid the original 'creditor' by buying your debt cheap, so your 'debt' now belongs to them. If they are agents the debt remains with the original creditor, so yes, that should be fully paid off when you finish your payments.
