and scroll down to find the Edinburgh one.

You can of course find garages who will charge less than £58, they will of course find lots of "advisories" to get your money.

google edinburgh mot for results. You will also get cheaper rates by booking on-line.

Like what sicker says, google it and it will come up with places that ONLY do mots so they gain nothing out of failing your car unless they have to.

  • I use MK Automotive on Gorgie Road. They have a special offer on at the moment for £24.95 with a free Re-Test. Repair prices seem quite reasonable too!

I'm sure there is a sign out at LT bus depot @ Porty end of seafield road advertising MOT's for the gen public, if I remember, I'll look again tomorrow?

    Cheers.....

Used Carnies (opposite Sainsbury at the start of Western Approach Road) last month, took it in at 9.30am got it back at 3pm nothing needing fixed (first time in my life a garage has said that !!!) and only £40. On top of that courteous staff.... can't be bad.:T

Five and a half hours to do a 50 minute test?? Better check your mileometer, sounds like someone has had a day out in your car.

Bit cynical bob! Had to leave it with Arnold Clark at Bankhead Industrial Estate (miles from ANYWHERE) from 9.30am til 4pm last year and they phoned half way through the day to say it needed loads of things. Never use them again.

I know the feeling, my dentist told me I had to have a lot of treatment. I will never use him again.
