Tom Tom without a doubt. Have a look on https://www.pricerunner.co uk to get a price comparison. Also try ebay.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

Thanks, was thinking more towards the TomTom but just liked the idea of the speed camera alerts for road angel, can the TomTom do this? thanks again for the link, i'll check it out.0

Road angel was originally a "black spot" detector they recently added the sat nav feature, the RA was infact still is an awesome device if kept up to date and that requires a subscription.
I use Tom Tom 6 with the pocket GPS camera database on and it warns me when I am within 300 yards of a camera. its ok but the problem is the 300 yards is any direction so you get warnings for roads that your not on it is just a limitation of the tom tom POI warning system. Road angel knows if the camera is facing in your direction of travel so it only warns if it will affect you not just on the road your on.
When I went to the rally last weekend I had always wanted to compare the 2 systems so he had his RA on I had tom tom and they were finding the cameras no problem tom tom found everything but RA just the ones affecting us.
I love tom tom the system is so easy to use, the best of both worlds would be a RA compact and a tom tom One as you will get the laser detector in the RA compact that none of the nav systems will do.
EDIT: I just read it corrected a few mistakes.0 -

I would buy a Tom tom and then visit this site - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras - thay for a small few will allow you to download these points of interest on to your tom tom. Their speed camera locations are better than tom toms and cheaper too.0
