Wrapping Christmas presents for money?

I feel awful about having rubbished your idea. I was looking for a job to do from home but I couldn't find anything suitable. My husband has retired temporarily and fortunately when he works part-time from home I have a ready-made job as his PA / secretary.
Have you had other ideas? Maybe you could start another thread asking for ideas. Best wishes xxx
any ideas should really be kept to yourself as someone else could take the idea!:footie:0 -
Actually, I used to wrap Christmas presents for money, not my own business though.
A country park near my home has a Santa's Grotto every year and I used to wrap the toys up for that. It was only minimum wage but I'd do a few hours a week in November. Im sure thereare lots of santas grotto's around the country who need a similar service - you could try working for different ones. I then also got asked to help out at the Grotto.
So it is possible but doesn't earn you that much

I've seen some stalls in shopping centres doing this but I think that would be an easier market as people will see them, have the shopping on them there and then so could just drop them off, go for a coffee and go back or something. If you were doing it from home you would need to arrange to pick up and collect the items and to be honest if people have the time to wait in for someone or to drop things off then they probably have the time to do it themselves. Sorry to be negative

Its to seasonal to make money - and when you pay taxes etc on top you would be broke....why not think of joining a party plan company - that brings in awesome work at Christmas!! We just joined a new company called Scentsy so you can PM for details - only 3 reps in NI right now...ok its not your own business but as a business owner as well i can say i prefer working for Scentsy right now...it is regular work and easier ;-)
whatever you do good luck :beer:0
