Hi guys,

Just wondered if any one can advise - im 24 and when i was young i decided that credit cards where the way forward and brought everything i had ever wanted... silly i know but i have learnt and am now paying for it!

i dont have very good credit and after looking under the Loan section on this website i have been accepted pending a phone call for a loan from Aspire to consolidate my debt - its not much but using the calculator (again on this website) it will take me near on 19 years to clear making the minimum payment! crazy right!

now by having this loan that will pay off my cc and only take me 3 years to pay back, which i thought was a no brainer... but after reading a few threads on here im slightly worried about Aspire's credability and a few comments about them have made me a little nervous about giving them my details or accepting their offer... should i be worried?

thanks a million :)

Emma

Proceed with caution and do not give them your bank or debit/credit card details. They may ask for this for 'security reasons', but some of these companies then raid your account for a 'membership fee' or somesuch - totally unecessary. No decent lender or broker will ask for an up-front fee so never pay one.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

The reason it is a "no brainer" is because it all sounds too good to be true.

In other words, it's all waffle to rob you of your cash you aren't protecting. Aspire aren't going to give you anything other than a headache.

Run away very fast in the opposite direction from this company !! Have you tried any of the mainstream banks for a loan?

There are lots of other ways to get your credit card debt under control, this forum has plenty of useful posts that will show you how. Are you able to pay more then the minimum amount on any of the credit cards? What kind of rates are the credit card companies charging you currently?
