Asda where's all the beer deals gone?

I haven't seen one decent beer deal in Asda for ages what's happening? During the last bank holidays Sainsburys, Tesco & Morrisons had decent beer deals on but the best Asda could seem to muster is 24 cans for £16?! What's happened to them, they used to start the beer wars now they're not even competing?! Do you think with a new guy at the top they've changed their marketing strategy? If so it's not working as I've not ventured in in ages!? Anyone else think the same?:o

2 for £16 at my local Asda last night on selected beers.

There are still deals. However Asda have a new policy of not placing Alcohol promotions in the store entrance, this means they are less prominent and you won't see the stacks and stacks of beer in the entrance as you are used to.
