I don't know where you are in the country but Wilkinsons have a great choice and range of domestic homewares including every little trickbit for the kitchen, from cheap as chips to branded stuff.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

There are loads of places you can get cheap knives, but IMO they're not worth buying. I firmly believe you should buy good strong (expensive) knives and they will last you a lifetime.
Oops, just saw your user-name - perhaps a cheap knife will do the job :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Spatula you can get anywhere - any pound shop should have them. Worth paying a bit for a reasonably decent knife, but unless you're prepared to sharpen with a proper steel and all the rest of it, I don't think it's worth paying for a really expensive knife. If you get a knife sharpener (much easier than a steel), you'll get a decent edge without too much effort, but they do wreck the blade over time, so no point buying a really expensive one.0

Matalan do a very good bread knife for £1 or £2. It has a black handle. I bought one for my Mum and she's happy with it
