How many nappies does a newborn use per day on average?

I am planning a similar attack on the asda baby club lol!!

good question! i googled it, and came up with between 8-12 a day until the next size up - which, depending on the size of the baby might be about 4-6 weeks?

hopefully my 270 nappies should be enough then, and i won't need much more - then again as I see it nappies won't expire, so you can always save them for another baby (talk about extreme planning! ;)) or give the extras to someone else.

I've found with both of mine in the early days you tend to go through quite alot of nappies, like a 27 pack would last maybe 3 days, this is because they are eating roughly every 2 hours. If you are gonna stock up on wipes I would definitely recommend the morrisons simply value wipes, they are unfragranced and just as good as pampers/huggies etc but they are 18p a pack and the pack is just as big as any other brand

thanks :D it's always good to know, and as for the wipes -that's really good! 18p! you can't go wrong :T

You can only print 2 and then it tells you no, as it tracks the computer your using :(

My baby was born 6lb 5oz he is now 6 weeks old and 9lb 10oz and going into size 2 nappies today. The only flaw in the plan is if you have a big baby he/she may only be in newborn nappies a week if at all, which will be about 1 pack.
I did the same thing as you when the packs were £3 in the Asda baby event so I also got £2 off my shopping, I now have 14 hats and a spare 4 packs of nappies:rotfl:

I found huggies nappies to not be very good, they just leaked on my 2 when they were in the size 1's. And the hats are huge on a newborn baby... lol. I tried mine on my son when he was born and it went down to his nose (granted he was v.small when born and in preemie baby clothes), but now at 3months old it only just fits without covering his eyes up (he's not too small anymore, 12lb at 3months).

    I used this offer too!

However, the vouchers on the cardboard sleeve used to have barcodes on them - you could then use the voucher for £2 off your next pack of newborn nappies to buy another newborn stater kit. This was great when it was £3 in ASDA as it meant you could keep purchasing starter kits for £1 a go (using the £2 voucher). I did this until I had enough size 1s for my baby.

Not sure if that would be possible now the vouchers don't have barcodes on them?

mummy 1982, I used all my vouchers at once, as in one transaction.

Each voucher you manage to print from the ASDA baby club gives you £5 off a starter kit. If you manage to print 2 vouchers you get a total of £10 off. The starter kits are £3 just now in ASDA meaning you can buy 3 and will get another £1 off your shopping. This is what I used to do.

The asda voucher isn't based on one voucher per starter kit - it's based on £5 off a starter kit.

I also used all my coupions in one go without any probs, but when i went into asda today, the baby event was over and the kit was back up to £5 instead of £3.

The pictures on the voucher show what kind of pack needs to be purchased.

on a side note, i noticed on the boots website they have a pic of the old kit - the baby is sleeping, on the new kit with the non-barcode vouchers, the baby is awake

I've got to agree - they actually aren't bad! They are very 'thin' compared to the huggies & papers ones but since they are 80 odd p cheaper I think that they're well worth it!

We only but the 'branded' wipes when they're on offer now i.e. when DTD was running :rotfl::rotfl:
