Be aware of the very high minimum sales figures on Alamy needed to get a payout

You need to generate $250 US in sales NET of commision before they payout in any month,

Bear in mind a VERY GOOD sale on there is $40 for a photo, they take a commision of 40% so you get $24 of the $40, you would have to sell over 10 images to get close to the minimum payout level, (And a lot of sales dont get that amount $5 sales are the norm where you get $3)

Have a look at the number of photos that actually sell on the site in a week, they are on a real winner the majority of people who upload a couple of hundred photos will NEVER sell enough to get to the minimum payout level, so its WIN WIN for them

If you are getting rejected by the application process you really need to evaluate if you have the quanity and quality of photos needed to get any return, not only the taking of the photos, the editing uploading, keywording,. It can be a long slog for little or no return

Sorry if that sounds like I am putting a dampner on it, just trying to be realistic.

    .

Not my experiance of Alamy. Over the last year my highest sale was $139.30 and my lowest $9.02 (excluding Novelty Use which you can opt-out off if you wish) Average sale was just over $50, so $5 definately not the norm as far as I am concerned.
