Argh! Having one of those days..

Sorry if this seems like a rant but am just having one of those days. Spent a good 1/2 hr on the phone to eejits at BT this morning because our home hub has decided it no longer wants to let us recieve or make any landline calls, and the only way we can have the internet on is to have no calls, and the only way we can make calls is to have no internet. ARGH! Needless to say I've sacrificed the calls as I couldn't live without the net and plus hardly anyone important ever calls anyway, just indian call centres trying to sell me things I already have but was expecting a couple of important calls through so needless to say I'm not in the best of moods. Anyway we're having a new home hub sent out so we may be able to have landline calls back in 7-10 days if we're lucky. GRRR I hate Bt.. have been having problems non stop since July and it's doing my head in, especially when you're passed through to 15 different departments and have to regail your problem to each one! Argh!!!

I am now getting a stress headache and it's my staff christmas do tonight which I really can't be bothered to go to anymore as I can't drink, feel hugely fat and unattractive (The joys of pregnancy)and it's a meal at this stupid posh golf club to which I've got nothing smart to wear as I've bene surviving in baggy jogging bottoms and DH's tshirt because nothing fits me and can't afford to buy any nice maternity clothes! Have already paid for the meals but don't know if I can be bothered to waste the petrol getting there and back and spending money on drinks.

Just want to go back to bed and start today over again! Anyone else having one of those days?

Hi Immoral Angel what a nightmare, BT are being thier usual self I see. 5 months ago we contacted them say we wanted to change our bank account the BT Broadband internet direct debit came from and they still haven't actioned it. We have not been paying them for the last 4 months and they've not written to us or anything! Oh well it's their fault!

AS far as the xmas meal, it's a difficult one but seeing as you've paid for the meals I would go, it'll probably be just what you need and I'm sure you'll enjoy it even if you don't feel like it just now. You won't be pregnant forever (even though it may feel like it!), just enjoy being pampered by your friends tonight and you've got a great excuse to leave early if the party is pants!

    Have a good night

  • I'm having a bad day too, only because am really busy at work and getting v. stressed. The phone will not stop ringing so I can't actually get any work done (so in a funny kinda way I wish work had the same problem as you.)

Just think, tomorrow should be a better day. Go to your staff Party, have a good time, and let the stress of today just slip away. And wear what you like, who cares if its a posh golf club!:D

Hugs I_A. Drag out the best that you can manage from your wardrobe and it'll just have to do!

Tomorrow is another day and it will no doubt be better, so grit your teeth, take some painkillers (if you can?) or have a snooze (if you can?) and think about tomorrow.

(But yes......often I have days that make me want to scream too!)

Hi Immoral Angel, sorry to hear you are having a bad day, I think you are probably at that stage where you feel as though you have been pregnant for ever, but there still feels to be a long way to go. It doesn't help having to deal with idiotic phone companies, and having to repeat yourself over and over again.

Hopefully you will feel better later and will be up to going out for a bit - and like Duncans-mum says, wear whatever you feel comfy in. But if you're really not up to it, don't feel guilty, get snuggled up under a duvet on the sofa and send your OH out for a DVD and a take-away or something.

Most of all, take care of yourself, your health (and sanity :)) are the most important things!

I don't know what a bad day is like but I sure do when my DW have one, I think you should go to the staff christmas do tonight don't worry what you look like as long as you have got some decent outfit, and you don't need to drink alcohol either. get yourself ready and I will send the coach be sure to get back before midnight though otherwise it will change into a pumpkin and rats.

I'm having a bad day too. I HATE MEN!!!!

My OH gets worse PMT than I do but nothing is ever his fault! He said 'let's put the tree and the decs up in the complex lounge today' this morning...... In OH speak, thats 'why don't YOU put up the tree and the decs and I'll stand there and criticise'

Now, I wouldn't mind putting up the tree usually, but we agreed that HE would do it since I have to organise the decorating of the rest of the complex since he has a wrist in plaster. Add to that the fact that I was working at the time, and was already late in doing my morning rounds, and I had had three false alarm calls in half an hour and I was blooming well PEED OFF!

Haven't had a moment's peace from him since.

Hugs to everyone else who is having a bad day, especially if you're pregnant too, look after yourself!
