Have any banks filed a complaint against a consumer for irresponsible borrowing?

It takes two to tango. If the bank misled you about the terms of the loan, that's one thing. But if it was advertised fairly and you took them up on the offer, I don't see how it's irresponsible of them when the consumer instigated the transaction and agreed to the specifics?

So unless you're looking at some form of mis-selling, I'd be very surprised if it gets anyway. Posting more specific information may help people judge your case.

I agree, if you applied for a loan and gave the bank your truthful details then they would only have lent you what you could afford to pay back, they would have given all the repayment details etc so how are they being irresponsible? If you were unemployed and applied for say a £25000 loan and they agreed knowing you were unemployed then that would be irresponsible, but in all honesty that just wouldnt happen.

    hi

i am just curious if anyone has ever filed a complaint against irresponsible lending against a bank for a sale of a loan?

    if so what happened?

reason i am asking is cause i have just sent a complaint through the fos for irresponsible lending

Why are you wasting the FOS's time with such a claim. It's people like you that are going to make this free (to the consumer anyway) service a fee service. If you had to pay the costs of your vexatious claim would you be making it?

The responses were not 'crappy' though, they simply disagreed with your viewpoint.

......But if everybody agreed with you would you still think that the advice is crappy??
Grow up and pay back what you borrowed is my advice.
