Argh!
I just rang the accounts department of my 2nd job to find out the pay date for December. THEY DID NOT KNOW! Unbelievable! They guessed that it might be the 22nd but told me to ring back on Monday when the main person in accounts was back off leave. OMG!
How on earth are you supposed to manage your finances? It's an uphill battle.
Rah!

Budget .... If You Are Paid At The End Of A Month Just Act As You Are Stll Paid Then, If Your Paid Early Then Dont Touch It Or You Wll Be Skint Come January0

Hmmm it does seem a tad rubbish that they don't know at this stage of the month when they are paying the money out. Running a payroll is *not* a 5 minute job (unless you're just doling out cash).
Are they a small/tight company? If so maybe the head honcho has not decided yet if he/she can bear to part with cash this side of Christmas. That's my only thought. That or you got through to the cleaner.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

You don't work for the Council by any chance??? Sounds like one of their classics :rolleyes:0

what differance does it make if your paid early ? its early not extra0
-
Think yourself lucky - our finance / payroll dept is uncontactable by telephone. You have to email them and they have 48 hours to responsd to your queries0

Poor you Annie, hopefully they will pay you on the 22nd as expected. I understand that being paid early is not the same as being paid extra, and it should probably make no difference, but somehow it just does!

I'm with you Annie
I'm paid by cheque (my boss is tighter than a ducks backside) and I'd quite like to know when they are going to send me my cheque this month so I don't have to worry about direct debits coming back and getting charged after the holidays.
Thats what the difference is, Lone Ranger.

Wow cathybird, your debt looks to have come down a huge amount, only 12 months to go until you are debt free - I bet you can't wait!

December/January will be the first month that I am not living in my overdraft and will be using a comprehensively compiled budget. Therefore I want to know when I will get paid so that I can give myself a HUGE pack on the back. But asides from that I do not think it is cool for an accounts department to not know when they or indeed the rest of the company are getting paid!
