Self Employment

Hi :T
I am self employed, and am looking to expand the business via other self employed "cold callers."
I have found several people, who can confirm that they are registered self employed, but I need to know what I need to do legally in terms on contracts etc.
Can anyone offer any advice or point me in the right direction?
Many thanks.

Write up a contract between you and them or get a contract from them where it states what you get for your money, the price/commission and payment terms plus penalties for not completing.0

Thank you, they will be working commission only which I hope makes things more straightforward, just checking that it is ok to have a contract between 2 self employed parties, and that it does not infer an "employed" status?0 -
You need to be very specific in your employment terms and conditions. These are a legal requirement. They also provide protection if there should be a falling out in the future. The Department of Learning and Skills should be able to offer some advice.0

This is what is confusing me, as I wouldn't actually be employing them! Will head there to see if they can help.

Ah but you are employing them by acting as an agent for them. You are then in effect an employment agent or employment business - the legal requirements are the same for both. You MUST have terms and conditions of business and terms of employment. That's why I say if you have no knowledge of it, contact the department.0 -

Am I not freelancing or contracting or something!?
