Look what I found in someone's rubbish?

My Sherwood R-925RDS amp, I already have Some Gale Silver Monitor speakers I got off eBay, but I was having to use it with my 15+ year old Aiwa Midi system.

I was out delivering leaflets and I just saw it, I knocked on the door, turned out I knew the guy but not his name just someone who worked in the same place as me many years ago, he said I could have it. It was a bit grubby, but I gave it a clean and polish, and now this is what I have complete with remote. The only problem I have is the RDS doesn't work.

Well done, If I have anthing electrical I no longer want I either put it on top of the bin or just outside the gate. I'd hate for it to go in the bin when someone could use it.

I agree with toadyfrog but I remember disposing of my old computer system and printer about eight years ago. There was a skip outside an office being renovated opposite the office I was working in. I waited until it was quite full and then on a Saturday morning placed the computer equipment where it could not be missed. I was working that day and was chuffed to bits when a group of East Europeans on their way back from Lidl with masses of shopping, stopped and examined all the components and somehow managed to cart it off. I was so glad to see someone getting the use of it, and the top of the skip was like an advertisement in a busy street!

Nice find! I like when you can find nice things. When I was in Canada I had a few nice one, like a wooden bookcase and my roommate found a leather chair! Someone's rubbish is someone's treasure!
