Don't know if my complaint would be upheld...

in Loans
Hi, I am a newbie here and in a very difficult situation. I have had a loan that was secured on my home (and can no longer afford the repayments so will potentially lose my home - this is due to the loss of my husband) but recently a financial adviser has told me there's numerous problems with the loan agreement. He has suggested i take the complaints to the FOS.
Meanwhile the loan people have said that they will freeze my account as long as i don't take my complaints any further. They will freeze for a short period. There are other things i could say here about their conduct but for now will just say that.
I called the FOS for advice (but of course they cannot give advice). Someone there said I could go ahead with this and STILL complain later as I will have done this under duress, however he said it would depend on the circumstances and couldn't say for sure until they had all the details and looked into the situation.
Is there anyone who has had experience of a situation like this? I don't know what to do. I cannot sell my house easily and I want to go ahead with this but feel there are grounds for complaint also. I am worried about going ahead with it, signing something to say i won't complain in future and then cannot defend my position later on when i've managed to get help and support. Right now i just want to stop bleeding money in interest payments if i can, although I accept people have to pay interst there is a chance that I can stop this and thik i might be foolish not to take it.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thankyou.

What are the problems with the agreement?Gone ... or have I?0

2 questions - (1) what are these 'problems' identified with the loan adn (2) what exactly is your complaint with the loan company. We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.0

And is the financial advisor who is telling you there are problems the same person/company you used when you took out the loan?0

And who are the loan company? You need to name them. If its a sub prime lender you'd be mad to agree to anything they want.
