Hi,

Does anyone use Slice the Pie music review website? I am currently a 2 star reviewer at 5 cents a review. How do I get to be a higher star review even a 3 star reviewer would be better as its 10 cents a review. I know the review has to be lenghty and meaningful but no matter what I cannot increase my star rating. Also given the exchange rate between the dollar and the pound are there any British music review sites that pay per review?

I started using slice the pie today and thought it would be a fairly long trek up the star ratings, but I'm at 3 stars after 26 tracks!
My reviews tend to be 4, 5 or 6 lines. I start off with a positive about the track, then a negative, then an "overall", then finish with a suggestion about how to improve.
My actual ratings are often 6 or 7 but I drift around there, and haven't been afraid of rating one track 10 and one track 2.
My accuracy is only 88% though, which is less than some other people have mentioned, so I guess accuracy isn't the most important thing when it comes to getting higher starred.

I gave a rather negative review and now I've plummeted to a one star scout. I continued to review and am still stuck one one star, not sure how long I will continue as it's too long to spend making pennies. However good on you for getting up to three stars :j and thanks for the response.

This is what's happening with me. I keep getting Folk/Country which isn't on my list. I try to be as critical as possible but I keep going from 1 to 2 and I've reviewed 28 songs but looking at the person above it seems like I'm not doing something right.

It is hard to go from one to two star rating once you drop. Are you mentioning as many musical terms as possible and writing at least 5 line reviews. When I first started reviewing and hitting send I got sarky comments from the computer e.g. moaning about the quality, quantity of the reveiw, lack of musical terms and things like the reveiw wasn't good enough to pass back to the artist or helpful to the artist.

It's also worth mentioning they do throw a few curveballs in there. I perservered and got the opportunity to go into another scout room where the reveiws were all 8 cents each on all the star ratings. It didn't matter that I was on one star I still got 8 cents per review.
