I have to attend the Cardiac Investigation unit at the Ulster Hospital Dundonald tomorrow (Wednesday)
I have seen the car park's have been getting re-done so how hard/easy is it to get parked on hospital grounds around lunchtime & does anyone know how much it is per hour? (I should imagine it's quite expensive)
TIA

Parking can be dreadful so allow plenty of time. I now always try to go to the big multi storey round the back as the queue getting into the other one can be very long and very slow!! Depends how fit you are to walk though, don't know where your appointment is exactly.
If only all patients were as organised as you!! :-)0 -
there are no car parks being redone at the minute but i know parking can be very busy, it will really depend on what time ur appointment is0

Having spent an afternoon a week there while preggers I can safely say that visiting time (2pm-4pm if memory serves) is busy from around 30 mins before hand. The main car park which is on the left as you enter from the Upper N'Ards Road fills up first and cars will sit there and queue rather than drive to another car park. Personally we found that the car park on the right hand side was very handy if the main one is full as it's not too much further from the main entrance. The multi-story is the least busy but it's a heck of a hike if you have any problems with fitness.
P.S. the parking charges are very reasonable. We spent a lot of time when the newborn was admitted shortly after birth including being there overnight and we haven't had to re-mortgage the house.0 -
I was there today - my little boy was having an operation.
First thing in the morning (8am) the car park was pretty much empty and then it seemed to fill up during the morning. Around 1pm it eased off and there were lots of spaces - must have been during lunch hours. Then it filled up again quickly.
The car park on the right-hand-side as you come in always seems to be the least busy - so that might be worth a go.
Prices were as previous poster - certainly not as expensive as I thought it was going to be - as we were there for the full day.
Good luck!Sealed Pot Challenge No. 2860 -
