Should I give up hope?....

I entered a tie-break competition a while back (closing date was 31st October) and have heard nothing...

...Thing is, there was one knock-out main prize and 1000 runners up prizes... and I think I wrote a brilliant little tie-break.

I just can't believe that 1001 people wrote a better tie-breaker than I did!!

Do ALL entries get read? Do they read them as they receive them, or save them all until after the closing date? Is it possible they're still reading and deciding....?

Thanks guys!

Don't take it personally. They probably don't all get read if there are loads of entries. It's not that 1000 people are better than you, just that it wasn't your time to win.
Don't ever give up. I never won anything for about the 1st 31 years of my life, but now I win loads. Nothing life-changing as yet, but every win is a great boost, and I keep living of hope of a really big win:)

Some comps send prizes out a long time after the closing date. With over a 1,000 entries, it will take time.

I've won a couple of small prizes over the last 12 months, one day I hope to win the big one. It may happen, the chances are it wont. But if you don't enter you will never know. I enter them and then forget about them that way any prize is a is a surprise.
    Don't give up.

As long as you are enjoying entering and it is not adversely affecting the rest of your life, then you should keep entering comps. If you're not in them you won't win them, as everyone keeps saying.

I got very disheartened recently then had two wins in a week - nothing life-changing, but enough to keep me comping!

    Good Luck!
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.
  • Dont ever give up. You just never now the next comp enter you may win. Like sage says enter and forget so if a prize does come through your door it will be a big suprise
