My tree is embarrassing!

I went out and bought a nice norway spruce tree this evening. Got it home and into a stand. Unwrapped it and expected all the branches to 'fall' into place BUT it stayed all tightly 'huddled'!!!! I thought maybe if I started pulling branches down and hanging decorations on them, this would encourage it to 'spread' out a little but no, it's just not playing ball!!!
Anyone got any idea's? I wouldn't want any visitors to see it in this state!

Leave it upside down over night??:rotfl: SORRY bad joke:o
We had the same one year with a real tree...shouldn't you be pulling branches UP not down?
Ours drooped more in the house with the heating on...but tbh by next morning it was spread far more~must have been wrapped really tightly.Hope it works out! xNew Year~New Start!!

Thank you. Yes, it was wrapped so tightly and must have been sitting there at the shop for a while in that state! The branches were wrapped in an upward direction, so I'm waiting for them to drop! But no amount of threats is helping this tree along! lol .0

Maybe it doesn't like your decorations? :rotfl: Go out and buy a selection and see if it twitches for any colours/shapes.
Other than that, I think time may be of help - poor thing has been bundled up, the branches need time for the sap to start flowing again. Or something.:wall:0 -
We always leave our tree at least 24 hours to open up before decorating. Always seems ok after this amount of time. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile

I'm sure it will "rest" soon, *fingers crossed* by the morning it will have come down more.0

I agree with the above, let it settle of a while, maybe give it a drink too.

I’m not sure that’s a good idea. If you get it drunk, it might start doing things that are really embarrassing.Nuclear_Tom wrote:…maybe give it a drink too.

It's been standing in water all night and still it wont loosen up! I don't know, I think giving it a little alcohol could be a good idea as it actually needs a little 'brewers droop'!!!!!!!!0

claribelle, i sell the things for a living: take it outside pick it up by the main stem/trunk and bang the base really hard on the floor0
