Agreed, problem is the bolded people tend to be so bitter and resentful over anyone whos done a bit better than they have due to their phobia of risk and/or debt, that it all gets a bit nasty.

    Dodged any meteors lately?

Some people have no phobia of risk or debt but due to the actions of others during the boom they are now not allowed to get themselves into debt to fulfill the basic need of putting a roof over their heads.

Nor should it be arranged around the needs of the !!!!less who have borrowed way beyond their means!

    Morally I agree.
In practice you have to consider the !!!!less as it has an effect on everyone else if they get repossesed and go on benefits.
So I'm afraid to a certain amount it does have to be arranged around those even though I completely understand what you are saying.

No, it must be a better idea to arrange the economy around those who spend tomorrow's wages today.

Unfortunately you do need to consider those people.
You see if they lose they homes and have to housed and on benefits then it might cost more than supporting them in other ways.

It's not as simple as just taking the moral high ground.
Although I do believe there should be some "moral hazard".

What makes you think they are being supported anyway?
Apart from a few who have BOE trackers, most people are paying quite high interest rates certainly on credit cards.

And sit on an obscure internet forum, telling other how "clever" you have been ?

    What's obscure about it?
I like hearing what clever people have done.
I'd rather listen to someone who has been successful to see if I can learn something rather than people who've done nothing and are moaning that they don't have a god given right to good returns on their savings for doing sweet FA and taking no risk.
Sounds to me like some of you are jealous.
Don't worry though, genuinely successful people won't be concerned and can see right through it as it's SO obvious.

Because the returns are slightly less if he spends it maybe.

Yes, crowing about being mortgage free and hoping that rates go up to punish those who have wives and children to share their lives and income. and so might have had to borrow money to buy their homes.

Yes, thats what you do isnt it?

That mortgage free status must be very comforting as you sit alone in the 2 bed house you have lived in for the past 20 years. Waiting, quietly and unchanging without excitement, disruption or fuss... to die. :(

    Crowing ?

    No.

When asked, I have revealed a few things about my personal finances. I have not posted ......

"Interest rates were held at x% today, which is great because I have a £xxxk mortgage, blah, blah, blah."

Anyway, it appears you are still rather riled about me daring to "challenge" some of your incorrect postings.

And I have not lived here for 20 years.

Why not try posting something that is accurate, for a change ?

I'm not sure, I was just using someone else's words.

What do you mean by "not allowed to get into debt"?

Almost sounds like something a "bull" might say. Awkward. Did you mean to say prices are too high due to BTL scum or some other meaningless soundbite?
