I think I've been scammed

Please help

Last night i filled in an online appform for a loan with loangogo. Today i got a call saying my loan had been approved and they just want to go over a few details which we did. Then came request for my debit card detail so they could authorise that i had a UK bank account and could i give them a date for them to take the administration fee. I fell so stupid now i should have smelt a rat but i was cought on the hop. I told them they could take it after the laon had been paid but they said they needed it to authorise the loan payment and i told her she could take it in the first week of june. She insisted that i would need to be done at the latest 31 may and now i know why!!!!! I've 14 days to cancel my agreement in writing and guess what if i post it tomorrow they won't get it to the 18th of may and I'll not have given 14 day notice. I can't believe i've been so stupid:mad:. I have a voicemail on my phone saying that my loan has been approved but i really think i've been scammed.

You havent been scammed you've just been rushed into something or maybe not checked the terms and conditions. It will say on the website they will take a brokers fee. My suggestion to you is to get that letter sent special delivery first thing ing the morning. Should get in their mail slot on wednesday

  • This company will charge you around £50 for arranging a payday loan with a payday loan company which if that is what you were after then you could have gone direct to a payday loan company yourself such as Wonga, QuickQuid or PayDayUK and saved yourself the above added fee.

  • I really hope your right, i'm going to the bank in the morning too to see if they can stop the transaction from their side but i doubt they will
  • dont take this the wrong way, but i doubt you will get your money back unless i think you paid on a visa card, in which case i think they can do a charge back but not sure?
i got robbed the same by easy loans and there are a few posts about them on here [hind sight is a great thing if you used it]
they took 70.00 out of my account the bank could not get it back because i gave them my card details [debit card] one of the postsa about this company also surgested naughty dealing with people
my question is the same HOW CAN THEY KEEP BEING ALLOWED TO DO THIS TO PEOPLE?
its one thing saying they cant but they do even more so when backed into a corner.
its little comfort but your not on your own, you can search for the stories on here.;)
  • No money has left my account yet as it's not authorised to come out until the end of the month. I used a visa debit card does that count?

HOW CAN THEY KEEP BEING ALLOWED TO DO THIS TO PEOPLE?
Mainly because people won't give a second thought to handing over their card details to some anonymous person at the other end of the phone. Add to that the failure to read the T&C's.
You were not robbed and the OP wasn't scammed.

That's a relief for you and a lesson learned. Never, ever, give out your card details to people like this.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

    Hey ripped off g

to make sure that the payment is not taken out can you not contact the bank and tell them you have lost your bank card and need a replacement - they will cancel your card so your number will be null and void?
