Hi everyone, I am new to the forums (which I am starting to plough my way through!) but thought I would post this offer I spotted at Morrisons tonight.

1 x 4 tin pack of Princes Tuna, usually £5.39, special offer of 2 x 4 tin packs for £5! Wakefield only had brine or oil varieties.

I know it's maybe not as cheap as some of the bargains posted on here but it is a great saving and as they are dated until December 2013, I stocked up with 3 lots saving myself £17.34 :)

Just paid £6.99 in Tesco as I thought it was good, wish I'd gone to Morrisons or Tesco price matched with morrisons.

It's worth checking two different places for these offers - the place where the offer is featured, the shelf end or big bin which may only have one variety - and the normal canned fish aisle which may have them all with the offer barely signed.
  • Asda are also doing a great deal on Tuna, John West 6 pack for £3.

Princes use the purse sein method of fishing, it was on tv, killing dolphins, sharks, turtles anything that gets caught in the net - think they are finding it hard to sell, choose the pole and line by Morrisons don't buy it.

What does this mean? I thought at first you were saying don't buy from Morrisions.

I agree with you on not buying Princes just don't understand that bit. ;-)

postman knocked sorry - I meant don't buy Princes tuna, their methods are unsustainable. Morrisons do the pole and line tuna, do buy that. Half asleep!

The packaging says dolphin friendly and that they are 'fully committed to fishing methods which protect marine environment and marine life', surely they can't put that if it isn't?
