Bubbles

Thinking of having bubbles for the children rather than confetti but may just use them full stop. I just wanted to check though whether they would be ok near my dress? The last thing I want is for them to mark my dress.

I have no idea - but that's just panicked me too, as we were planning on having bubbles!

They can mark your dress yes...but so can confetti if it gets wet....and so can dirt and mud... or even gravy! so its more a case of be mindful of these things but dont let them get in the way of enjoying wearing your dress or enjoying the day!

from the net- If you love the idea of walking through a shower of bubbles, think about your wedding gown fabric. Silk and satin are particularly vulnerable to staining from the bubble mixture. There are brands that claim to be non-staining, but it might be worth a test on a sample fabric.

i am haing petal confetti for the confetti shot-- then we have bottles of bubbles on the tables in the reception- just in case

Also check with your venue - we had bubbles in the kids favour bags. The 8 of them spent ages blowing bubbles off the gallery that overlooked the room we had our reception in - it looked amazing and really entertained them....until the staff started slipping coming out of the kitchen and the manager politly asked if they would stop...oops!
