Remortgage with same provider for discount - Nationwide

We have just come to the end of our 2 year discount period (so no penalties for leaving) with Nationwide on our fixed rate mortgage. I need to give them a call tomorrow to find the exact figures but I think we have about £116,000.00 remaining over 23 years. £50,000 of that is interest only and the remaining is repayment.
I want to go fully repayment on a fixed rate and hopefully save some money on our new non-discounted rate.
I'll use another provider if I have to, but is there any possibility of me talking to Nationwide and getting another discounted product with them, or will they just turn me away?
TIA!

Nationwide should be your first port of call to see what they will offer you.
You should then see if you can get a better deal (after taking exit fees and set up fees into account) elsewhere

edit crossed with H
they have a range of "loyalty" rates... both fixed and tracker for circumstances such as yours
whether this will be as good as the open market / worth the effort & hassle moving is another thing
You have some of your terminology mixed up - perhaps worth reading Martin's article to ensure you understand some of the different tyopes avialable
Website site comparsions or brokers might also help ( if using the latter make sure that a true comparison is made to inhouse NW swap)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Thanks Herbies. Any advice on how I should approach them with my request?SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"0

It should be as simple as a phone call to ask them what deal you can move onto and what fees are involved - make sure you get everything in writing. Tell them you would rather not pay their higher standard variable rate.
This will enable you, armed with those figures, to compare the figures with other deals out thereI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
