Sorry if its the wrong forum. I just saw this on the LIDL website.
Customer Information
Recall of a branded cheese product manufactured by Belgomilk
Customers are warned not to consume the branded cheese product
“St. Maarten Classic” Belgian Cheese Slices, 200g, produced by the Belgian supplier Belgomilk.
London, 13. May 2011. The creamery Belgomilk, Moorlede (Belgium) is currently recalling some cheese products. Tests conducted at the production site of the branded cheese manufacturer Belgomilk showed the presence of listeria (listeria monocytogenes). In a commitment to consumer protection Lidl UK immediately reacted on the news from Belgium and removed all cheese from the branded product manufacturer Belgomilk from sale.
Listeria can cause serious illness. Healthy people are less likely to be affected. However, for people with weak immune systems as well as ill, elderly, pregnant, babies and toddlers it can be harmful to health, and in some cases life endangering.
Lidl UK is urging their customers not to consume the affected cheese of the Belgian supplier Belgomilk and to return the affected product to a Lidl Store, where consumers will receive a full refund, even without presentation of a receipt of purchase.
