Clearing Your Credit History

I dont know weather this is just one of those rumors that isnt quite true or not but I was led to believe there was a way to clear your credit history completly. I understand the knock on effect with doing this is that credit companies would have no history for you so generally would refuse you credit. However I dont need any credit in the foreseable future and have a few loan accounts and a credit card account in which payments are no longer missed under any circumstances.
Does anybody know if this is actually true and if so how is it done. Also is it actually worth it for somebody like me who has a dire credit history ?

It appears that you can remove missed payments
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061124063334AAMuDR1I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
