Applying for Loan with another bank affect my current overdraft?

Hi,
If I apply for a loan or credit card outside of my own bank, will it affect my current overdraft - anyone know?
Just in case I get declined.
Thanks.
oops. What I mean is if I apply to another bank with the intention of clearing my overdraft and having a bit left, could my current bank take a dim view and maybe re-look at/withdraw my overdraft?
