Anybody else know more re: collectiomn of non payement student loans?" a life we could only dream of "Dreaming is a pointless exercise if it only serves to reinforce your own limitations.

Are these your loans? Old style loans pre 1998 or new style loans post 1998?
I think you are asking if student loans would become statute barred after not paying?
Old style loans can become statute barred but the timing is not always straight forward as to when they would become statute barred as things like writing to defer payments can come into play.
New style loans that are usually taken from your salary - the issue of the limitation act does not come into play this is because the SLC are allowed to take your repayments direct from your salary without going through court so can continue to do so after a 6year gap etc.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
