I have just finished maternity leave, I live with my current partner and my daughter from a previous relationship. I have a son who presently lives with his dad, my ex..
My partner has a son.
complicated I know.
Now, I need to go back or find work, as i only get £64 for job seekers, I have applied for so many but finally I have two interviews this week. now my problem.
If I go back full time, work 37 hours per week, I need to find childcare, my future mother in law, will look after baby three days a week, so nursery fees are £70 for the 2 days. I've worked it out based on £7 an hour, then I would take home about £230... so if I pay £70 a week child care fees, and I need to pay ex £30 a week for son..
Or the other interview is 5 hours per day, 25 per week, but again 2 full days of nursery as they don't do hourly rate.. so thats £175 - £70.. and £30 for ex.
i'm no better off working part time... but do they consider nursery fees when paying CSA
oh, i get £5 from my ex per week, towards upkeep of daughter... he doesn't work, hasn't in five years etc...
my partner earns good money, but we have a huge mortgage, so I'm not entitled to Tax Credits etc,, went on that entitled to.
just looking for your opinion etc.
