Not sure this fits perfectly but this might have a couple of ideas you could use or adapt.

There are lots of survival kits on this site.

Thank heavens someone was able to help! After a late meal, I just fell asleep thinking about it all, very bad of me I know, so glad that Mr Knight was able to help, good luck. :)

I bought a happiness kit recently for a friend and I wrote down what was in it so I could make more for a local charity. I'll try and remember where I put it...

From what I can remember it had in

Small length of string - To tie up lose ends
Penny - So your never broke
Eraser - To remove your mistakes
    Elastic band - ???
Paper heart - Remember your loved
A marble - In case you lose yours!

There were a few other things, I'll get back to you when I find the list

Hope this is the kind of thing your after and that it helps xx
    Good luck xx

    Found it! :j

    Happiness Kit

An eraser to make your mistakes disappear
A coin so you’re never broke
A marble in case you lose yours
A rubber band to stretch yourself beyond your limits
A piece of string to tie things together when they fall apart
A heart to remind you that love is all around you

    Hope this helps xx

Finally done, 25 of the things made this evening!

I bought wedding cake boxes to put them in, lined them with a piece of paper cut from an old atlas and added the following:

A couple of 5p pieces, a boiled sweet, five coffee beans (all siliconed in) a little wooden heart charm and a rubber.

The verse to go with it will be along the lines of:

May the road ahead always be clear,
    May life always be sweet,
May there always be time for a coffee with friends,
May you always have two coins to rub together,
May all your mistakes be easy to rub out and....
May you always remember you are loved.

I will be sticking the verse on the lid of the boxes and probably including a personal note for each student.

I know that some of them will think it is very naff and will just leave it behind when I hand them out, but a lot of them will like it, so I think the effort was worth it :-)
