Expensive Cinema

Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere before but the Omniplex in Lisburn do a kids club. It cost £2 per child with one adult per child going free. Any extra adults are charged at £2.
It runs every Sat & Sun at the 1200 showing which might not be ideal for some but I find it is a really good way to treat the kids to a day out at very little cost (£4 for a family of 4, 2 adults 2 kids). It isn't 3d but it does change what it is showing weekly and there is a choice of 2 sometimes 3 films to choose from.
Hope that helps someone.

Is that Moviehouse? Saw a poster on the Dublin Road cinema that said they wouldn't charge any extra for 3D films.0 -
Ritz multiplex, Cookstown -Adult: £5.00Children: £3.50
Student/Senior: £4.00
Matinee (before 5pm): £3.00
Tuesdays (all tickets): £3.00
3D Glasses: £2.00 each3D glasses are yours to keep once purchased so after the initial £2 cost 3D films are the same price as other films.0 -
2gorgeousgirls, that's more like it. Cookstowns only up the road I'd rather pay the extra bit of fuel on a Saturday afternoon for example and get my grocery shopping while I'm there. I did offer to reuse the glasses in my own cinema in the interests of recycling and not adding to our land fill but they insisted that I still pay the full £7 anyway. I assume the glasses cost them pennies, they're not really charging the extra £2 for the glasses it's almost 100% profit for them and they're still getting their original £5 for the film.0

Omniplex charge extra for 3D. Price varies depending on what time of day you go.
Bring your own drinks and food and save forking out for their crazy prices.0 -
jadedson - you'll find flyer here http://www.ritzmultiplex.com/
Films change on Thursdays.
Only thing about keeping 3d glasses is remembering to bring them the next time!
If you haven't been before, there are the usual drinks, crisps, popcorn on ground floor and then a pick and mix on the first floor. If you have kids, there are booster seats on all floors and they are free.
Supervalu next door also sell pick and mix and its a bit cheaper. Never have had a problem bringing in our own drinks, sweets etc.0
