How did you raise your BR fees? Very worried;

Hi all,
Hope you're all having a relaxing evening.
I've decided to go Bankrupt.
I went Bankrupt once back in 2003; Discharged 2005.
Now, I have to do it again and I'm cringing about this.
Things have come to a head because of my depression, anxiety and alcoholism, resulting in me fraudulently taking out a £200 loan from a PayDay loan company 2 weeks back.
They want £250 back in 2 weeks time, and I don't have it. I lied to the PayDay loan company at the time, telling them I was working in my old job when I wasn't *cringe again*.

Having been in touch with CCCS before, and having had them advise me to go for a DRO, my debts have now increased, taking me over the £15K limit, so I'm going to have to go Bankrupt again.
Am just worried the circumstances of the fraudulent £200 / 250 loan will come out when I'm interviewed by the Official Receiver / Judge, who may not even *let* me go BR.
Also, there is the not so small matter of the £525 fees (I'm on ESA).
I'm in the process of applying to NPower's Trust Fund for help with the BR fees, but I'm not holding my breath.
How on earth did you all raise the money for the fees to go Bankrupt?
Am I overworrying about the fraud aspect of this?
Could I get into even more trouble because of my addiction?
Many Thanks,
Sim.

hi sim, sorry not great with advice, try not to worry. big hugs x

If there are mental health issues then you could have justifiable cause for not being fully in control when you took the loan out. However, the OR will only look into this if they believe there may be a reason to.
I raised 3/4 of my fees from a charity and the rest from my DLA payments so good luck with your application. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

That is very reassuring to know. Thank You.
I really don't know whether I should mention the fraudulent aspect to the CCCS or not
Do you mind me asking, which charity it was that helped you with the fees?0 -
thanks sim,
i have mental health issues and most of my debts are due to doing things i shouldnt have.
thing is whats worse that could happen? ill let you into a secret . i had an issue with someone that the police considered fraud. in my eyes and everyone else i didnt do anything deliberate. copper didnt think so mind. solicitor told me the worse that could happen was a fine at court. guess what happened, it didnt even get that far the cps dropped it. get what im saying? have more hugs xxbsc 347:j0 -

I searched the turntous website and the internet, plus checked out some of the links in the Look Here First thread. Then chose a charity who I thought would be most willing/able to award me with a grant towards my fees.
I'd rather not disclose who that particular charity was or they could be inundated and their funds are limited as it is, hence why I didn't get all my fees paid by them. I think it's best if everyone does their own research as I did, especially as everyone has a different work/life history and therefore different charities may be available to apply to. Some charities will accept a direct application, others require a third party to be involved, making the application on your behalf. I wrote my own 'supporting' letter and the CAB sent that off with a covering letter making the application official for the charity. When I joined, I needed a name. I got help from family... but I would second looking at the source Ineedaname quoted.
Also, are you or have you been a member of a union in relation to your work? Sometimes they may be able to help out - my union had a crisis fund if necessary for its members.
sell anything you have of value on ebay... do surveys ( I earned about £20 in 1 and a half weeks from one site & another £3.70 pending) /check out the up your income board for ideas, have a car boot sale.
hope you can raise money for it soon, best wishes.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -

Great to hear you raised the fees too Don.
No union so that's not an option for me.
Will be starting some work at the end of next week though, so will be bringing more money in then. My EBay sales are also going well!
