At the bottom of my front teeth they have been clear for about 8 years now, the clear part is about 2-3mm. Any way to fix this? Ive been using the arm and hammer enamel care tooth paste for about 2 months now but not much is happening

I might be wrong but isn't this similar to acid erosion? There is an advert on telly at the moment showing acid erosion on the top edge of the teeth and it is being run by Sensodyne. I hope this may help, if not have you tried a google for the problem?DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

yes, ive seen that advert too. Am not sure though because if it doesnt work it might be a waste of money. I dont drink that much fizzy drinks and probably a few pieces of orange every 2 days.
I found this

Hi Negotiator.
It's a bit hard to get a handle on this from your description. By the 'bottom' do you mean the gum end or the biting edge of the tooth?
A clear bit at the incisal edge (Biting edge) can be due to the tooth wearing down behind, causing the edge to go very thin.
There can be many reasons for this. Tooth grinding, fingernail biting, acid errosion, overuse of unsuitable bleaching products (I've seen you on the bleaching threads!!!).
I couldn't really give any definative answers without actually seeing your teeth (And probably your fingernails!)

No toothpaste will reverse the damage already done so you wont notice any difference. The aim of these toothpastes is to reduce further wear and tear. It does sound like acid erosion though.0 -
its the biting edge of teeth, the problem was there before my teeth whitening. Its just that i notice it more because am doing my teeth. Do dentist have any specail chemicals that will fix it up?0

If it's the biting edge my guess would be that it's mechanical wear.
Tooth grinding or nail biting.
