Hi all
I have created a new data base for work, just to give a quick idea, i have also created a form to input the data to the table.
the form is in tabular format and on the left there is the persons name, then across the screen boxes to enter dates, however the boxes that go across the screen mean that you have to use the scroll bar to see the rest of the boxes,
What i am trying to do is lock the name on the left hand side of the form so that when you use the horizontal scroll bar the names always stay on the page,
Is there any way of doing this, Many thanks
Lee

Hello Lee634,
To freeze colums: Select columns, right click mouse button or select the Format menu. Click Freeze Columns.
To unfreeze colums: Select Format menu, click Unfreeze All Columns.

Use the design button to change the format of the form.0

In Access 2003 there are two ways of telling the form which order to tab around.
If you click on the black square in the top lh corner of the design view there is a Tab Order option and you can drag the fields around, alternatively, if you click on each individiual field then you can set a tab stop number in it starting a 0.
Hope this helps, I am sure the latter option is in the earlier versions too.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Create a main form with the personal details down the left based on the Personal Details table.
Create another form with the dates on.
On the main form "insert a subform" and link it to the Main by the Index Number of the Personal record.
You will have less scrolling if you put the name at the TOP of the Main screen, though.0 -
Does anyone know of a good Access tutorial on the Internet?Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!0
