Loan Help

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction in sourcing a loan?
Unfortunately my credit history was hit by a stupid default after RBS failed to update my address and my overdrawn balance was passed over to a debt collection who tracked me down.
Anyway...i'm still at a point where my credit score is in the poor category. I have two credit cards which both have limits of £200 each as i've never needed more. Now that I want a loan, I wanted to know which lender can genuinely help me out?
I have a decent salary and have fairly low outgoings, and it's my credit score that will stop any high street lenders from coming near me.
Therefore any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

no, if you have a recent default no mainstream lender will give you an unsecured loan.
you say you have a decent income and low outgoings then it should be possible to save up for what you want0 -

Right...but the whole point of me wanting a loan is so that I get money right now...
Surely there must be lenders out that can help??0 -

That makes no sense at all.
You won't find a decent lender prepared to give someone with a poor credit file a chance.0 -
Try your credit card companies, and see if they'll increase your limit. Otherwise personal loan is out of the question, unless you try payday loans. I really wouldn't recommend them though because you can get stuck in a debt spiral if you're not careful. What is the loan for? If it's to do with debt management then you can try seeking advice.0
