could someone help me understand please
when person is going bankrupt is it better to do things yourself or get professional help?
is it easy to fill the form in or better to ask someone to do it for us?
if the person is living on benefits and gets her money paid in to her account what happens when bankruptcy gose through ?
Please Please help ...

Hi Londonlost, First thing make a list of all your creditors, debts and assets. Secondly and most important is contact one of the following debt charities. Please try these they don't charge and are impartial. They will go through all your options with you and if they suggest bankruptcy then come back to this board and we will help you all we can. Also if your not ‘clicking’ with one of the Debt charities do try another.
Please don’t do anything rash take your time and weigh up your options and read everything you can x

As If says, contact one of the debt charities, they can offer FREE professional advice. There is no need to pay for help with the forms, they're pretty straight forward and if you do have any queries then you can ask the Court BR Clerk, on here or even the debt charity.
Once you've taken advice, come back to MSE and ask questions on the relevant forum for your recommended route, DRO, IVA, DMP or Bankruptcy. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

I paid an insolvency practitioner £500 plus VAT to fill in my forms and it was a complete waste of money and I very much regretted it.0

Indeed, by the time you've gone through it with the CCCS (or other debt advice charity) it's just a case of filling in the form with the info you already have.
There are some subjective questions but these are easy to recognise(!) [such as the one about gambling!]
As others have said, you can come here for help.0
