Hi,
I have just received my Martin's Money Tips email and found the article "Use shopbots to get the cheapest online deals. Now’s the time to order on the web" (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1085270194,52624).
I must say as a regular user of comparison shopping websites I found in some cases the sites listed a very bad choice. What was they thinking!
1. Shopping-sites.com has a message on the homepage saying It is due to relaunch in September 2005. Please check back for more details.
2. Checkaprice.com seems to be lacking in a lot of content.
3. Comparisonmagic.co.uk seems limited in it's product offering and links to other sites when you perform a search.
One site that I could not see mentioned is Froogle (http://www.froogle.co.uk). This is the price comparison website run by Google. Kelkoo, Price Runner and other similar sites only usually advertise shops that pay them money. Froogle is totally free which means it should have a lot more shops to compare prices on for a specific product.
I personally use Shop Scanner (http://www.shopscanner.co.uk) which is a simple site to compare prices.
Regards,
Dan
