Student care packages....for parents

A bit of market research here please for anyone interested in helping me. I have a business which sends University "Comfort Packages" to students from Parents. We all know what its like when they first leave home and you want to keep up their spirits and stop them feeling homesick, or just to remember you actually exist. !

We have only just started up and would welcome some more feedback on the kinds of packages most parents would like to send to their beloved sons and daughters.

We have a pack for Students just starting at uni ie with a Freshers week/Freshers flu theme. Then there are the packs to send to your sons and daughters while they swotting for exams and to de-stress while theyre going through all the studying with lots of treats and comforts.

Can you indicate if you would find these useful and how much you would be prepared to spend?

Your thoughts would be most appreciated. Many thanks.

As a student, I would probably find that to be useful. However, it'd be good to know more about what would actually be in these packs to give any sort of price. I know my mum wouldnt bother because, well, she never does XD But I'm sure some parents would

I think it sounds great - although would parents not just send their kids the parcels themselves? It would be more cost effective. Everyone loves a parcel though so it may take off.

When I started my first year undergrad I moved into student accommodation. My mum put together a pack for me which included:
    • cups/glasses
    • plates/bowls
    • cutlery
    • pots
    • cereal
    • pot noodles
    • instant noodles
    • cans of irn-bru
    • duvet/pillow and 2 x sets of covers
    • dish towels

(and yes my diet at that point in my life was APPALLING  - I don't eat like that now!)

lots of hampers for teens, uni etc on here

With DS over the years I noticed there was always a lack of credit on the phone - so top up cards, stamps in case of needing to send something in a hurry, those Billy Bunter type parcels from home full of yummy cakes.
