Co-op store Chatham, Kent - closing down sale

Just thought i'd mention that the Chatham co op store is closing down.
They have sale prices on almost everything with around 20% to 25% off most tv's and electricals as welll as clothing, bed linen etc etc.

God, another one going eh? Still, i hear they're trying to sell the Pentagon (Shopping Centre in Chatham) so maybe things *could* improve?

Lets hope it doesn't improve things like the conversion of the 1 way system!

I can't believe all the hype about how Chatham is to be so great once the regeneration is complete. At the present time it is full of cheap tat shops, no decent shops because they are all in Bluewater. No Marks and Sparks (closed down), no Co-op (closing down) Allders got taken over by Debenhams, so hopefully that will stay, but to be honest I hate Chatham and I live there! It is so miserable and run down with the impression that everybody who lives there is poor, which is not true!!! The reason we go elsewhere to do the shopping is because there aren't any good shops there. Perhaps if they start providing decent shops, people may return there to shop. I don't want just pound shops and although Primark are great, I still want to choose to have some good quality stuff too.
