VW Campervan Theme

Just posted this on the special occasions board and then noticed it should probably go here!

Hi there im hoping someone can help me!

Due to get married next year and as my fiance is totally obsessed with old stlye VW Campervans that will be the theme to our wedding!

Now the tricky part....

I need to find ideas of things to use to carry the theme across the wedding. i.e invitations, place settings, favours, cake etc.

We are on a tight budget so my mum is helping me to make invites, place settings and she may make the cake also.

Does anyone know where i can get VW Campervan stationary, such as: stickers, stamps, box templates, anything really??

I have a sizzix big shot, why isnt there a die out there?? lol. it would make life so much easier and quicker to make!

I had thought of doing favours as boxes in the shape of the VW, failing that just ordinary boxes with one stamped onto it. Then thought of making chocolates out of a mould in the shape of a VW, but cant find any moulds bar one which i didnt like.

Hope this isnt an impossible task, maybe someone will have done it before?

ah that's a lovely theme. I remember the hairy bikers made a VW caper themed wedding cake once!

We are having a campervan for our wedding! We love them but could never have one in 'real life' so we are having one on our special day instead.

My moh bought me some campervan table confetti, I'm at work at the mo but will have a look at them when I get in and see where they are from. I got a stamp from the craft show at the nec, so will have a look at that too.

Have you actually got a van, or are you hiring one on the day?

I'm getting my fiance a campervan up to our wedding as a surprise, she thinks she's getting a taxi!

Anyway, we have wee campervan salt and pepper shakers, could be a nice subtle touch to tables, found some on eBay reasonably cheap, available in a few colours...

hee hee, we're going one step further and having a VW themed wedding - OH is a Golf Gti nut, and I love the campervans. The first time we met, we spent 4 hours in the pub talking about VW's lol!

I'm planning on hiring a VW camper to take my OH and his best man to the ceremoney (I'll be in the hotel the night before so don't need transport), he doesn't know it yet though. Depending on money, we might also hire a camper for a mini honeymoon too.

Our cake is going to be a VW camper, the tables are going to be named after types of VW's - Golf, Campervan, Scirroco etc.

Was thinking whole campervans on things, like a wee pic of one on invites, place settings, then a campervan cake and any other wee things i can think of!

We haven't got a van (YET) lol. hoping to hire one for the big day as a surprise for him, going to let on hes getting a taxi or something and then it will turn up and surprise him!
