AA or RAC which covers you for the republic

Options
Hello, I recall reading here somewhere that either the AA or RAC covers you for the Republic as well without buying the extra european cover .

Anyone know which one does this?

I have AA cover, which I got when we intended to do a long journey to ROI. I asked AA what extra it was for Republic of Ireland cover and they told me it was included as standard.
They say their UK and Ireland is covered in all their standard policies.
This is what I was told on the phone but never checked it out.
I took their word for it and as they record their calls I doubt it was incorrect information.
I did buy but only had to use in NI some months later. I found their breakdown service in NI to be very quick and helpful on a wet, cold Sunday night.

The AA definitely include cover for Eire. We were holidaying in North Wales and decided to take a day trip to Dublin. I called up the AA to arrange Euro Breakdown cover and the agent told me that Eire was included in standard UK cover.

AA do; I totally forgot RoI is classed as Europe/Abroad. When my battery died in Dublin Airport, they turned up 30min later, no problems at all
I used to promote my band here...

From memory the Republic is covered as standard for RAC customers who live in NI but extra for GB based customers.
