I agree you have to shift all the debt into your own account.
You need complete control of all of this mess simply to safeguard your own interest (and credit rating).

It is all documented what is joint and what isn't.

Send a Solicitor into bat (or simply do it yourself) to make an offer regarding the house equity so you get her portion of the debt back again.

She is buried in her own debt so you ain't getting money off her no matter how many times you drag her into Court.

Bear in mind your Solicitor will take (via his fees) the lions share of what you stand to gain.

She won't play ball, they never do. She is bound to have an army of supporters advising her not to pay a penny, after all, she deserves everything you own plus more.

Take the gloves off now, roll with the punches and stay positive.

It will be a slog but in a few years time you will be debt free and have healthy savings. She, on the other hand, will be ripping some other chump off still buried in more debt..... in my experience :)

Oh Apples.. usually you talk such sense but the misogynistic sweeping generalisation does not become you...

Hmm I think Apples meant 'they' as in 'any ex-partner involved in an acrimonious breakup' not just 'they' as in women!

Ooops! I mean the other party to the break up. You can bet your boots she is saying he is being unreasonable too.

The other party never plays ball (I knew what I meant lol )
