I think Toys R Us might still be running a 25% off if you spend more than £50 on Lego offer at the moment. I bought my little boy a shed load of Star Wars Lego a week or so ago and saved a fortune.

toys r us - great if 25% offer still on
lego.com - you can design your own sets including specially printed box on the lego designer.
woolworths do some sets & base plates and may have an offer running
always worth buying sets that are reduced because once they are into it kids don't care what's on the box and what it's meant to be they just go mad for the little chain bit that's in there etc. (well mine do anyway!!)
our woolies had tons of lego advent calendars piled up 2 weeks ago & my kids are holding onto their pocket money and praying for a 1/2 price reduction (8 figures in the advent calender and figures are more valuable than gold nuggets apparently!)
and if you're really stuck for what to buy - base plates & anything with unusual pieces in.

and as Ivan said - "it's the best money ever spent for kids & will last for years" what you buy for him this year you can almost guarantee he'll be playing with in 8 years time (if the hoover hasn't got it in the meantime!)

I was going to suggest ELC (early learning centre) esp as they have a great deal for Nectar card holders. Sadly they only have one item and then thats out of stock. The stores may have more...perhaps?
