slow mortgage

Our mortgage application has got real slow with not much progress, my broker says hes ringing everyday and they keep telling him its to be escalated and they will look at it and call him back but they arent. Should I call them myself?

Comments

  • Probably not - who is the application with (my guess ........ Accord) ?

You're not alone - Clydesdale took 7 weeks to process mine. It seems (well, in my case, anyway) there was nothing I could do to make it happen any quicker. Good luck.
  • Not very long for nationwide they spent 3 months messing us about. Asking for things over and over again. Every week they needed a new document sending. In the end we gave up and are now going through the process again with Britannia who so far have been brilliant (fingers X'd)

Nationwide has been struggling since deciding to get rid of its regional processing centres, like the ones I've used for years in Chester and Birmingham in favour of two centres, one in Northampton and one in Glasgow.

The lost an awful lot of experienced people when they did that last year.
